Exceeded all our expectations in every way. The guide's local knowledge added so much depth to the trip. A particular highlight for us was lumbini Sacred Garden - the UNESCO World Heritage Site marking the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama: the Mayadevi Temple enshrining the nativity marker stone; the 3rd-century BCE Ashokan Pillar (the oldest monument in Nepal); the Maya Devi Pond; the Eternal Peace Flame donated by Lumbini Development Trust nations.
