Truly one of the highlights of our travels in Asia. The support crew were fantastic throughout, always checking in on us. A particular highlight for us was shaligram fossil stones - the Kali Gandaki riverbed at Kagbeni is the world's only known source of shaligrams (ammonite fossils encased in black stone), sacred to Vishnu and sold openly by vendors at Kagbeni and Muktinath; authentic pieces can be purchased directly.
