A particular highlight for us was tilaurakot archaeological site (27 km from Lumbini) - the excavated city of ancient Kapilavastu where Siddhartha spent his first 29 years as a prince before leaving in search of enlightenment. The east and west gates, throne room foundations, and ancient city walls are still identifiable. We'd book with View Himalaya again without hesitation.
