Exceeded all our expectations in every way. Having such an experienced guide made a huge difference, especially at altitude. A particular highlight for us was machhapuchhre at close range - from the Australian Camp ridge, the fish-tail peak's distinctive double summit is at its most visually dominating; the mountain is sacred (no climbing is permitted) and the view of its 30° rock face rising directly above the forested hill is one of Nepal's quintessential images.
